Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh

Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh was born on November 13, 1917 in Sheopur, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, the most well known personality of modern Hindi poetry and Critic.His father Madhav Rao was a fearless and daring personality of the police officer.Mother Smt Parvati Muktibodh was a religious, self respecting and passionate woman of a prosperous family who lived in the Hindi environment.He had a keen interest in the novels of Premchand and Harnarayan Apte.In 1939 he married Shanta ji.In 1953, he has completed his M. A. (Hindi) degree from Nagpur University.

Muktibodh started his masters in Badanagar Middle School from the age of 20 and was employed in Daulatganj (Ujjain), Shujalpur, Indore, Calcutta, Bombay, Bangalore, Varanasi, Jabalpur, Nagpur etc.Eventually, he was appointed as Professor at Digvijay College in Rajnandgaon and gifted the best compositions of his life to the Hindi world.While introducing continuous struggle and fighting personality between Akashvani and Political engagement, along with study-teaching, writing and journalism, Muktibodh launched the revolutionary era in the modern Hindi poetry and review field.
